Murphy's
Atlanta, Georgia
Atlanta, Georgia
Originally designed and renovated in 1992, Murphy's was once again transformed in 2002 to reflect the client's desire to appeal to an ever-expanding clientele. The front of the restaurant, which originally functioned as a neighborhood deli and pastry shop, was transformed into a wine and retail space with loft appeal. Fulfilling the client's desire to create a "library of wine," the design of the wine bar allows patrons to enjoy, study, and purchase from the multiplicity of wines offered. An open plan with sensuous curves, custom designed mill work, warm colors, intimate lighting and natural materials create a sumptuous architectural palette that sets the mood. Additional renovations at the front included a new pastry kitchen design, a new awning color scheme, banners, signage, paint scheme and front entry design.
