Rising from the fields of what was once farmland, the Bartow County Therapeutic Pool for the City of Cartersville echoes the forms, materials and colors of the region's pastoral architecture. The 8,000 sf state-of-the-art facility contains a pool, locker rooms, an office and waiting vestibule. Along with economy of space and durability of material, the primary focus of the design is comfort and healing. While the design of the building is thoroughly modern, there is the implied sense that the facility has always belonged to the site.
