The 127,000 sf renovation to this 1920's high school includes an existing auditorium paired with a new "black box" theater. A new 8,000 sf connector addition links the existing classroom wing, cafeteria, and gymnasium and helps create an exterior courtyard open to students and faculty. The completely renovated existing commercial kitchen and cafeteria now serves 1,200 students. A new main entrance echoes the existing building detail with contemporary materials. The renovation also includes upgrades of all building systems, new exterior cladding of stucco, glass and masonry, and new windows for increased natural lighting.
