Einstein's was already a snappy little restaurant. It just didn't have a real kitchen. We were asked to design a building that would provide real food service capacity. The addition to the Einstein's site is a completely new house that blends into the neighborhood fabric. There's a full service kitchen above and an intimate enclosed dining area below. It's an addition that no one perceives as an addition to the area. It's a nice little job of shoehorning.
