Rhodes Jordan Community Center
Lawrenceville, Georgia

Overlooking the lake at Rhodes Jordan Park, the community center is anchored by the 12,000 sf gymnasium and the 2,500 sf community room, between which weaves the low support fabric of offices, classrooms and service spaces. The building spine is a 15 foot tall clerestory lit hallway, allowing natural light in during the day, and serving as a beacon in the park at night. The winged roof of the community room is repeated at the pool house, where oscillating canopies enliven the connection between community center and leisure pool.
